Backing Up a Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Database

You can create a full database backup of a Microsoft SQL Server 2005 database.

Performing a backup

  1. Open Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Management Studio.
  2. Connect to the ClosedSQL server used by Workflow.
  3. Click the server name to Closedexpand the server tree.
  4. Expand the ClosedDatabases folder and right-click the database used by Workflow.

    Note: The SQL server and database used by Workflow is defined using the Workflow Server Configuration Manager.

  5. Point to Tasks and select Back Up.
  6. Next to Backup Type, select ClosedFull.
  7. For Backup component, select ClosedDatabase.
  8. Optional: In the ClosedDescription text box, enter a description of the backup.
  9. Specify when the backup will Closedexpire and can be overwritten:
  10. Choose the Closedtype of backup destination by clicking Disk or Tape. To select more paths, click Add.
  11. Optional: To view or select the advanced options, click Options in the ClosedSelect a page Pane.
  12. When you have finished configuring, click OK to start the backup process.
